How to divide a circle into 9 equal parts in engineering drawing

How To Divide A Circle Into 9 Equal Parts:

To divide a circle into 9 equal parts, you can either use your compass or protractor for the division. Here I’ll be explaining using a protractor:

Step 1: Draw the given circle

Step 2: Draw a radius to the circle. That is a line from the center to any point on the circumference

Step 3: Use your protractor to mark 40o interval start from the radius. That means on your compass, you’ll mark 40o, 80o, 120o, 160o, 200o, 240o, 280o, 320o, 360o.

Step 4: From the center of the circle, draw a line to touch those points. Note; depending on the size of the circle and the protractor used, your point might not be directly on the circumference. Make sure the lines dividing the circle touch the circumference.
