Drawing an ellipse is very simple provided you understand the steps of how to draw an ellipse. Ellipse is a curved plane figure with curves. Based on the shape of the ellipse, we have the major axis which is the longer diameter, and the minor axis which is the shortest diameter of the ellipse.
There are about four different methods of drawing ellipses in engineering and technical drawing namely:
1. Rectangular method of drawing an ellipse
2. Auxiliary circle method of drawing an ellipse.
3. Trammel method of drawing an ellipse
4. Foci method of drawing an ellipse.
